When Blocc Interiors received a brief from clients about the start of a new phase in their lives, the message was loud and clear. The original family home was outdated having been decorated and styled 20 years before. They were seeking a property to suit their new activities and to entertain family and friends. Their motivation was for a contemporary home that reflected the significant lifestyle change they were undertaking.

HOW BLOCC INTERIORS BROUGHT THE BRIEF TO LIFE
Luxury living space
A key aspect of the property comprised an attractive, open plan kitchen, dining and living area at the rear. It featured a large fireplace and bi-fold glazed doors leading to the landscaped gardens.
- Dining: An elegant stone top dining table for a natural element
- Kitchen: A large island unit with contemporary style bar stools for an eye-catching feature and practical eat / work area
- Living: Coffee tables with ethnic patterns, textured cushions and selected accessories
- Large comfy sofas upholstered with luxury a soft velvet of daring patterns
- A carefully selected warm rug and tailored window dressings
Intimate sitting room
Away from the main living area at the front of the property, a beautifully designed intimate sitting room was created. To give a stylish and contemporary feel to this room, design features include:
- TV mirror fitted above the fireplace with a brushed gold edge
- Exclusively designed chandelier with an antique gold finish and quartz crystal clusters for an atmospheric lighting effect
- Specially commissioned abstract landscape art including colours exactly matching the soft furnishings
- Strategically placed accessories including coffee table books, Tom Dixon vases and natural plant branches and flowers
- Extra seating provided with two sliding footstools that can be comfortably tucked away underneath the coffee tables
